The boys baseball team spent their Friday night  (April 17) taking home a win against London. Matt Watters’16 pitched during the game and had a great performance, only letting up 2 runs. The Vikes were up 6-2 in the bottom of the 7th inning, and their lead looked iffy as London scored three more runs and came close to tying the game.

Yet, the boys had some strong plays in the field, and Scott Mackenzie’15 closed the game to help the team hold onto their lead to win the game 6-5.

On Saturday, April 18, the boys faced Amanda-Clearcreek in a doubleheader. The team was down 4-1 in the top of the 7th inning, but the Vikes fought to tie the game. They had some great hits and got on base, scoring 3 runs that inning to tie the game and push it into extra innings.

Unfortunately, Amanda-Clearcreek scored in the 8th inning to win the game. In their second game of the day, the team’s fatigue from playing 6 games in the past 5 days was obvious. They struggled to keep up with Amanda-Clearcreek this time, and lost 10-3.
