Going into their first tournament game tonight, February 24th, nerves were high for girls. Given the past record of their opponent, Africentric–who recently lost against Eastmoor–had a winning streak of 141 games. With the Viking’s record of 1-18, things looked bleak.
Although they fought hard, the girls lost 65-8.
This game was the end of the road for our girls this year, but according to Kennedy Sulton’17 it is only the beginning of successful years to come. “We are a young team. Next year we’ll be little stronger and win a few more games.”
