Terrorists in Paris killed 12 people at the offices of Charlie Hebdo, a satirical newspaper, in response to comics that mocked Muhammad, the Islamic prophet. This attack has caused much outrage in the international community.

Search crews located the tail of the airplane from AirAsia Flight 8501, which disappeared on December, 28, 2014, while en route to Singapore.

Jeb Bush, a prospective candidate for president in 2016, launched a political action committee, Right to Rise, to fundraise for and help support conservative politicians across the country. Mitt Romney also told supporters that he is considering a third run for the presidency.

President Obama unveiled a new, $60 billion plan that would make the first two years of community college free for hardworking students.

A man was shot and killed at Port Columbus airport on January 7 after attempting to stab an officer with a knife.
