Facebook gets used for more than updates about friends’ lives. One of the platform’s features, Newsfeed, includes a stream of updates, photographs, videos, and stories. Although some high school students claim Facebook is becoming obsolete, the site currently has 1.3 billion people who log on monthly.

By recording which devices people are logging on to Facebook with and tracking their recent searches, engineers use algorithms to predict which articles interest its users. Facebook continues to develop and impress people. So, while Facebook may be less popular among high school students, it is still very popular among newsreaders.
