World News: October 27 – November 3, 2104

A Virgin Galactic spacecraft crashed while on a test flight, killing one of the pilots on board. Virgin Galactic is a commercial space airline set to launch next year with fares priced at $250,000 per ticket.

Tim Cook, Apple CEO, came out as gay this week, making him the only outwardly gay CEO of a Fortune 500 company.

Kenyan, Wilson Kipyang, won the NYC marathon in 2:10:59, simultaneously making him the World Marathon Majors champion.

The CDC announced that it is, in fact, possible to spread Ebola through sneezing, adding to the growing hysteria surrounding this illness.

Famous daredevil, Nik Wallenda, walked on a tightrope from one skyscraper to another in Chicago, setting two world records in the process. Previous venues for his tightrope walks include Niagara Falls and the Grand Canyon.
