Football team thrilled with new turf field

The Vikes started football training in June with conditioning and lifting and attended a team camp at Capital University.

Coach Collis says Academy’s biggest rivals are Bexley and West Jefferson. Collis states, “Of course, Bexley is always a big game for us, especially after last year with everything that was on the line There’s definitely some comeback factor there.”

The team is ecstatic about the new turf. Its durability allows the field to stay in pristine condition the whole season. Collis says, “I think it’s going to help us because it’s even softer than grass so from an injury standpoint I think its preventive.”
