As the sun set on the first Friday of the school year, over seventy students gathered on the quad, armed with blankets, pillows, and snack foods for a screening of  The Breakfast Club. Some technical difficulties and a small army of mosquitoes crammed everyone into the Trustee’s Room, but there was still ample space.

“Movie night went wonderfully,” said Student Body president David Brown. “The students there seemed to really enjoy themselves. I couldn’t have asked for anything better to be my first after school event as student body president.”

With as great a success as this first event was, one can only hope that many more movie nights await the student body this year.
