The boys lacrosse team lost in a close 8-10 game on Friday, May 9th to Hilliard Darby. The boys came back from an initial first quarter score of 0-4 through the help of senior Grayson Wise along with juniors Max Bechtel, Carter Kistler, and Drake Williams, sophomore Otis Klingbeil, and freshman Roman Bellisari, all of whom scored. Juniors Drake Williams, Taylor Smallridge, and Reed Clark conducted crucial assists.
Kistler, an OSU committed lacrosse player says, “We made mental errors, but I think Matt Schmidt had a great game, and our defense did a good job of stopping the outside shots.” Schmidt will transfer to Culver Military Academy next year and play the school’s goalie.
Academy’s loss to Darby will not affect its tournament seating. With a 12-7 win against Big Walnut on May 12th, the hopes to improve its 7-4 record with a win against Bishop Watterson on May 14th.
