Movie Review: Hunger Games: Catching Fire

Hunger Games: Catching Fire quickly trumped  Thor: The Dark World with box office sales of 307.7 million dollars and  reached a record in November ticket sales.

The action packed adventure-thriller was given an 8.3/10 on IMDb, as opposed to The Hunger Games rating of 7.2. Returning stars included Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, and Liam Hemsworth, while Philip Seymour Hoffman and Sam Claflin joined the franchise.

Director Francis Lawrence and the author of the famous trilogy, Suzanne Collins, worked together to allow the movie to accurately depict the book in two-and-a-half hours. Catching Fire highlights Hunger Games victors, Katniss Everdeen and Peeta Mellarks in a rebellious movement towards the Capital.

Catching Fire took box office ratings and revenue by storm, so, clearly, Katniss Everdeen wasn’t the only thing on fire last weekend.
