Thor: The Dark World

In its first weekend, Thor: The Dark World, hammered out over 86 million dollars, setting a new Marvel record. This action- packed film, starring Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman, Tom Hiddleston, Anthony Hopkins, and Christopher Eccleston was a huge hit among fans.

‘Thor 2’ earned a 7.7 out of 10 stars on IMBd and a “Must Go!” on Fandango from fans, but critics did not seem to share the public’s enthusiasm, earning a mere 66% on the popular movie review site Rotten Tomatoes, and only a “So-So” from the Fandango critics.

Many movie-goers, however,  claimed that ‘Thor 2’ was better than the original. Thor (2011) was awarded with only 7 our of 10 stars on IMBd, and just a “Go” on Fandango, even though it scored a much higher 77% on Rotten Tomatoes.

Regardless of which movie viewers prefer, there is no denying that Thor: The Dark World captivates. The intense action keeps fans on the edge of their seats, combined with the unreal special effects, unexpected plot twists, and perfect amounts of humor and drama, all of which sucks in the audience. As Thor fights new enemies and struggles with his own personal battles, viewers cannot help but become completely immersed in the plot and wanting more as the movie comes to a dramatic close.
