Boys Lacrosse Mid-Season Report

Columbus Academy boys lacrosse team has taken massive strides in fewer than two years, going into its second season with a 5-4 record. Lead by captains, Hart Wise’13, Grayson Wise’14, and Tyler Krumlauf”14, the team bears down in practices and games, always aiming to improve. A remarkable group of freshmen also drive its success, most notably, Matt Schmidt’16, who, up until he broke his arm, played admirably as goalie. As Schmidt sits out, Brian Korda’14 has stepped up and filled the position.

An area of weakness is the team’s inconsistency, bouncing from moments of brilliance to playing less than its best. Grayson Wise’s pride for his team’s work ethic and great camaraderie, however, is apparent to any observer. “I am proud of every single guy and how we are playing as a team,” says Grayson.

We look forward to the team’s post-season success.
