On this Saturday, May 4th, our upper school concert band, headed by Jessica Sneeringer and assisted by Ms. O’Rourke, will compete at States. This group is the second band in CA’s  history to attend this competition. The first time the school took part in States was in 2010.

Sneeringer, now in her eighth year at CA, attributes this season’s success to the senior leadership and the single-minded, positive attitude of her musicians. She said this year’s band is the strongest team she has ever directed at Academy and its general caring nature makes it so fun to be around  this team. “No matter what happens this year,” says  Sneeringer, “we want to be able to say that we gave it our all, and I truly believe that we’ve put ourselves in a position to do that!”

The competition will be held at Gahanna Lincoln High School at 9:30AM. Feel free to attend, and support your fellow classmates.
