Zero Dark Thirty: Movie Review

Getting attached to the characters is inevitable in this not-so-average thriller, not just normal action movie.  The film’s dry humor  keeps it from being a horror flick. Because of the movie’s real-life events, the plot becomes personal.

The main character, Maya (played by Jessica Chastain), enters as a young, optimistic, girl. In the beginning, Maya is introduced to torture for information, and we see how disturbed she is by this.  As the movie progresses, Maya hardens. After the deaths of close people to her, she is more eager than ever to find Osama Bin Laden.

Although everyone knows Bin Laden dies, the build-up continues.

Zero Dark Thirty’s action is entrancing. The turn-out  never catches a break during this dramatic thriller.  When everything seems to be coming together, expect the unexpected.
